Why BuildAHouse exists
A construction job — new build, renovation, or commercial — is often the largest financial commitment people take on. It is also one of the least transparent.
Costs move without anyone deciding they should. Agreements are made on site and remembered differently later. Documents live across email, phone galleries, and paper folders — until the moment someone needs to prove what was agreed, and nobody can.
BuildAHouse was built from first-hand experience running a construction project — and from seeing how much clarity, documentation, and shared visibility matter across owners, contractors, and supervisors.
What we believe
Money should be released only when work is verifiably complete.
Not when it's promised, not when it's invoiced — when it's documented.
Everyone should see the same information at the same time.
Misalignment often starts when each side remembers the agreement differently.

What we're building
BuildAHouse combines budget control, milestone-based payment approval, and document management in a single platform. 3D progress visualization is in development.
For project owners: knowing where the money went, and having the record to prove it.
For contractors: clear scope, documented completion, and payment that isn't delayed by uncertainty.
For supervisors: quality and sign-off without budget by default — the owner can grant budget view when needed.
